You can download or create the graphic patterns that you want, manipulate these graphics on your computer, and then print out the fabric.
Once you have the fabric that you want, you can sew the fabric into curtains, wall hangings, lamp shades or bed linens for your baby. The great thing about it is that you can use any fabric that you want for this project.
Big Stuffed Character Toys for Your Baby
Big stuffed toys based on popular cartoon characters are really adorable, and they are a must-have in any nursery. However, these big stuffed toys can be truly expensive. If you have the time and the patience for it, you can make your own big stuffed character toys instead of buying them.
You can do this by downloading the picture of the character that you want. You can then print the picture on fabric either by directly feeding it to the printer or using transfer paper. And then, you can cut the fabric into the shape that you want, sew the fabric together and then stuff it with clean rags or an old T-shirt that has been cut into strips. Afterwards, close the hole into which you pushed the stuffing into the toy with needle and thread.
If you do not think that you are deft or skilled enough to create your very own stuffed toy for your baby, you can instead make pillows or cushions through the same process.
Pictures in the Nursery
You would want pictures in your baby’s nursery, probably family photographs, posters of cartoon characters, or printouts of landscapes and pictures that you like. You do not have to be limited by the small output size of your regular desktop printer if you wish to have poster-size or life-size pictures in your baby’s nursery. The only thing that you need to do is to pick out the pictures that you want and print them out using a wide-format printer. The most important of these is to make sure that the printer ink you used in printing is eco-friendly and will not emit fumes into the atmosphere.
A Few Precautions
Wide-format printers are very fascinating machines to play with, especially when it comes to home decorating. However, since the room you will be decorating is your baby’s nursery, you would need to exercise a few precautions. You would not want the air that your baby will breathe to be high in fumes and toxic particles.
